Jack C. Cole, DO
Dr. Cole, a North Carolina native, is an accomplished medical professional with a wealth of experience in Gastroenterology. Dr. Cole graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in 1982. He earned his medical degree at the University of Health Sciences, Kansas City, MO in 1989, and completed an internship and residency at the Department of Internal Medicine in 1993. Dr. Cole was the first Gastroenterology fellow at University Medical Center of East Carolina University, School of Medicine in 1993.
Dr. Cole began his career as a clinical instructor at the ECU School of Medicine, where he gained valuable expertise in his field. He then moved into private practice in 1993 while also conducting extensive research as a research investigator in multiple pharmaceutical trials with Carolina Research. His involvement in these studies has led to advancements in medical science and the development of new treatments for digestive disorders.
In 2005, Dr. Cole founded Gastroenterology East, P.A., with the goal of providing exceptional GI care to the underserved Eastern N.C. community. The practice has since grown to include a team of Gastroenterologists and medical extenders who offer comprehensive care to patients through a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and advanced imaging.
